Senior Title Landman

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated Acquisition Landman with a strong work ethic to join our team. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Houston, TX, or Tulsa, OK.

Responsibilities

• Assist the acquisition team and other employees in sourcing and acquiring minerals, as directed by your direct report.
• Track and assist with the due diligence process and curative for pending property acquisitions and sales.
• Update or run title on tracts for mineral acquisition purposes.
• Manage acquisition and sale closing and post-closing processes.
• Update, maintain, and manage the CRM database for mineral acquisitions and sales.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of sales and acquisition experience, including negotiating and closing mineral deals.
• Comfortable with cold calling.
• Proficient in Office365, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong communication skills, especially over the phone and via email.
• Experience and knowledge of all facets of the oil and gas industry, including mineral rights.
• Understand title requirements regarding the acquisition of mineral ownerships.
• Experience in any of the following basins: Midland, Delaware, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, SCOOP, STACK, and Marcellus.
• Self-motivated and able to adhere to company values and mission.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, and stooping.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

Pay

Base salary + commissions.
