Senior Thermal Systems Modeling Engineer
About the role
Lead the design and development of chiller systems, including component selection, system integration, and performance optimization.
Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to evaluate system performance under various operating conditions and environments.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and manufacturing teams, to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
Support product testing and validation activities, analyzing test results and implementing design improvements as needed.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to early career engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of thermal modeling experience or Master’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of thermal modeling experience
- 3+ years of experience with thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer principles, and/or refrigeration cycles
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in thermodynamic cycle analysis and modeling using own hand-written codes or commercially available software such as MATLAB, Simulink or Ansys
- Experience with product development processes, from concept design to production release preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality results on schedule preferred
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences is required
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement is preferred
Pay
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
