Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Promotion
    • Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
    • Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
    • Maintain and grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
    • Use tools like CE3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
    • Demonstrate scientific expertise using approved resources to present accurate, label-consistent information to HCPs.
    • Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product-related scientific data.
    • Organize external speaker programs with approved speakers, handling scheduling and logistics.
    • Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
    • Engage Medical on Call for real-time support on unsolicited medical inquiries.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with other field teams to enhance the Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
    • Gather and share insights internally to improve customer service.
    • Comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience (e.g., healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing).
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians.
  • Demonstrated experience building credibility with key customers, office staff, and stakeholders via a customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience in cardiovascular preferred.
  • Proven track record in account management, selling competencies, and meeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing, at least 21 years of age, and acceptable driving risk level (as determined by BMS).

Pay

Starting compensation range for full-time employees in the U.S.: $134,390 – $162,843. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. Final compensation will be determined by demonstrated experience.
