Senior Test Engineer

Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipmentPlan and arrange labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluating standard and special devicesTest customer samples and perform special tests that cannot be performed in the test areaPerform product testing across test planning, coordination, setup, execution, data reduction, test reporting, and post-data processingIntegrate products with test tooling, software, equipment, and instrumentationSupport test data collection, post-test data review, reporting, and test requirements verificationProduce test documentation through technical writingParticipate in and present at internal and external customer reviewsUse modern tools and methods to reduce product testing cost and scheduleMeet Operations Test Engineering safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations within entire product value streams Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of test experience, or a Master’s Degree in STEM Required Skills: Troubleshoot test equipment, test tooling, and test harnessesExperience with testing automation or other lean manufacturing/testing methodologiesDemonstrated technical writing and/or procedure development skillsTravel approximately 10% between the Oxnard, CA, and Goleta, CA sites and to support customersU.S. CitizenshipSupport working 1st shift 7am to 4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight Preferred Skills: 3+ years of test engineering-specific experienceProficiency in test automation software such as LabVIEW for product testingProficiency in measuring and controlling electronic components such as motors, actuators, positional sensing devices, and load transducersExperience in the aerospace or aeronautical industryExcellent presentation, oral, written, and listening communication skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to organize and prioritize job assignments and tasksAbility to work independently, in an integrated team, and adapt to change and dynamic requirementsDemonstrated proficiencies in methods such as Jira and Confluence
