Senior Test Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading Government Systems Integrator, is in need of a Senior Test Engineer for an initial 12 month contract.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior testing authority, defining the test and evaluation strategy, methodology and standards for the customer.
• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise test automation frameworks that support continuous testing across the delivery pipeline.
• Oversee all phases of testing to include functional, integration, systems, regression, performance, security and acceptance testing.
• Drive quality engineering practices including shift-left testing, test-driven development, quality gate enforcement, etc.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience with the last 5 years being in a senior or lead role.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• ISTQB Advanced or Expert Level certification, CSQA or equivalent certification.
• Security testing certification (e.g., GWAPT).
• Experience with advanced test automation architecture including framework design, maintainability patterns and cross-platform testing.
• Experience with penetration testing coordination, bottleneck analysis and/or scalability testing for distributed systems.
• Prior experience with continuous testing in a DevSecOps environment and pipeline-integrated quality gates.

Pay

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $42 – 61/ hr. The posted range is an estimate. The actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.

Schedule

This is a hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, with candidates being located in either Gaithersburg, MD, Egg Township, NJ or Eagan, MN.
