Senior Test Engineer

About the role

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Test Engineer with extensive experience in developing automated test software solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and integrating test software that supports the development of Next Generation Electronic Warfare Systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate automated test software solutions
• Write test software that is mission-critical and contributes to the success of the warfighter
• Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Software, and Test Engineers across multiple disciplines
• Assume a full or partial lead role as needed
• Provide accurate technical status updates to program management and direction to individual contributors
• Interface with other engineering disciplines as necessary

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional test development and integration experience
• Hardware and Software Integration experience
• Good communication skills including interpersonal and team communication
• Proficiency in Object-oriented programming (C/C++/C# etc.)

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity or experience with NI Test Software Tools
• TestStand
• LabWindows/CVI Software
• Instrument Communication
• Spectrum analyzers
• Microwave/RF measurements
• VSWR, Gain Compression, Phase Noise, S-Parameters
• Experience with the entire product life cycle development or parts of it
• RF Test development for production
• Supporting factory production test stands, debug, problem isolation, and resolution
• Experience with National Instruments FlexRIO (LabVIEW FPGA/VHDL/Verilog)
• JTAG/Boundary project development in an ATE solution
• Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
• Git and Tortoise Git
• Strong leadership skills
• Experience in leading engineers on multiple projects/tasks
• Experience with HW debug & troubleshooting
