About the role
4M is currently looking for a Senior Level Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL in support of the IBCS program.
Responsibilities
- Perform test planning, monitoring, and test execution activities for IBCS software.
- Devise test objectives, organize test policies, test strategies, and test plans.
- Estimate the testing to be done and acquire necessary resources.
- Schedule tests for execution and monitor, measure, control, and report on test progress, product quality status, and test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders.
- Learn quickly as IBCS is a very complex software suite.
- Work independently on various tasks while demonstrating good teamwork skills.
Requirements
- Active DOD Secret Clearance.
- Experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Proficiency in C++ and Java.
- BS STEM degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, or other related discipline.
Years of experience will determine grade level:
- Test Engineer 4: 9 years with a Bachelor’s in Science in an Engineering field; 7 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a PhD.
- Test Engineer 5: 14 years with a Bachelor’s; 12 years with a Master’s; 9 years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing software and systems for performance and functionality based on requirement specifications, including identifying and documenting exact sequences of activities.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Experience in a test lead role.
- Experience in a CMMI Level 5 organization.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Ability to work in a technical team environment characterized by frequently changing tasks, new priorities, and quick responses.
