Senior Test and Evaluation Specialist
Position Summary
Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test and Evaluation Specialist supporting fourth generation aircraft for an Air Force acquisition mission at Eglin AFB, FL. The candidate will provide test and evaluation technical and engineering support across system concept development, system methodology development, system plan development, system execution, and system reporting, including data reduction and analysis and end-user operational support.
Responsibilities
- Provide T&E technical and engineering support by documenting the review, system concept development, system methodology development, system plan development, system execution, and system reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational support.
- Utilize and apply Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct system engineering tasks.
- Prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates, plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise.
- Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope.
- Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of system engineering tasks.
- Develop new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness.
- Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of system environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification).
- De-conflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program’s lead.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
- Clearance: Top Secret
- Education and experience: Associates + 15 years in Related Discipline OR Bachelor’s in Related Discipline + 10 years Relevant Experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Associates + 20 years in relevant experience OR Bachelor’s in engineering (ABET-accredited) + 15 years relevant experience
- Technical Skills: Test concept development and system methodology development; Test plan development, system execution, and system reporting; Data reduction and analysis; End-user operational support; Design of Experiments application for system planning and execution; Engineering techniques and procedures for complex problem/data analysis; System environment configuration and operational relevance evaluation; Software release system support (fault insertion/fault identification); Schedule de-confliction support across multiple releases
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to develop innovative approaches to complex system problems; Strong attention to quality, adequacy, and completeness of system results and conclusions; Ability to deliver thorough, timely, and efficient task execution; Ability to provide clear analysis and recommendations to program’s leadership
