Senior Teller - Howell

About the role

At Bank of Ann Arbor, the Senior Teller - Drive Thru role is designed to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, autonomous environment. The position focuses on customer relationships and referrals rather than sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and efficiently handle all banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cashier’s checks, and foreign exchange.
• Verify cash and endorsements of checks, accept loan payments, process money orders, cashiers’ checks, traveler checks, foreign currency, cash advances, and U.S. Savings Bonds.
• Obtain supervisor approval on all required transactions, act as a resource for resolving client servicing issues, and assist staff with more complex transactions.
• Balance branch ATM daily, process night deposit transactions, and serve as backup to platform staff by providing direct customer service.
• Open and process new accounts, consult clients on expanding their banking relationships, and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma is required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, capable of interacting with various bank clients.
• Previous cash handling experience is helpful.
• Proficient in using a keyboard, ten-key pad, and basic computer systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain accuracy and timeliness.
• Compliance with policies, procedures, and instructions, including verbal directions from supervisors.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role requires regular talking or hearing, frequent hand and finger use, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, and exposure to moderate noise levels. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
