Ryan Companies seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technology System Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team in our Minneapolis headquarters. This is an in-office opportunity with a flexible work schedule.

About the role

This person will engage with and build solutions for Ryan Companies' Architecture, Engineering, Virtual Design Coordination, and Preconstruction teams. The role requires a problem-solver who can analyze complex systems, design efficient workflows, implement robust solutions to support data integration and operational needs, and mentor others toward designing sustainable technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support and build integrations and connections with AEC technologies including Autodesk products, Deltek, Reality Capture platforms, Destini Estimator, and other estimating systems and solutions.
  • Utilize API connectivity, error management, and other methods to automate data transformation, extraction, and loading processes (ETL & Scripting).
  • Manage and support enterprise-wide tools for data migration including managed file transfers and robotic processing (GCP, SQL, Azure, AWS).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs, define processes, and translate them into scalable technical solutions (Process Definition & Solution Engineering).
  • Implement automated processes for data flow, error handling, and performance tuning across enterprise systems (Data Integration & Workflow Automation).
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, perform upgrades/updates, optimize pipelines, and enhance system reliability (System Performance & Optimization).
  • Maintain clear documentation of processes, workflows, and configurations to support operational excellence and knowledge sharing (Technical Documentation).
  • Work closely with developers, database administrators, business analysts, and other technology and business teams to deliver integrated solutions (Cross-functional Collaboration).
  • Ensure that all solutions comply with security, data governance, and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Technology Systems Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
  • Technology experience in the AEC field is not required but will be strongly considered.
  • Demonstrative proficiency in SSIS development, data transformation development, API connectivity, and other scripting languages for automation and ETL processing (on-prem and cloud).
  • Strong experience with connecting external and internal data sources to create a holistic integration (GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with enterprise managed file transfer solutions and robotic/AI processing technologies (UIPath, GoAnywhere, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in building process definitions from incomplete requirements and translating them into scalable technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills across infrastructure and application technology stacks.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data architecture and integration patterns.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and logging frameworks for system health tracking.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, ITSM, and DevOps practices including source control management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.

Pay

The base pay range is $100,000–$135,000 annually. The salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
