Position Summary
A senior technology architect responsible for leading the design, delivery, and scaling of advanced AI-driven solutions within a complex banking environment. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of financial services experience, combined with deep expertise in AI/ML, data platforms, and enterprise solution architecture.
Responsibilities
- Works across the business, operations and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements into a technology backlog to enable the technology roadmap and functionality to support evolving capabilities and services
- Contributes to the creation of the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data, and Technology) in support of the product roadmap and the development of best practices including standardized templates
- Clarifies the architecture, assists with system design to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments
- Facilitates solution driven discussions, leads the design of complex architectures, and finds creative solutions through knowledge of domain, practical experiments, and proof of concepts while ensuring architecture is flexible, modular, and adaptable
- Edits the team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to create innovative solutions
- Supports the team as needed to select the technology stack required for solutions and helps select preferred technology products
- Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability)
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading the design, development, and enterprise-scale implementation of technology solutions within financial services
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple agile teams across concurrent programs, driving delivery, prioritization, and execution with minimal oversight
- Extensive experience with data visualization and storytelling tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate insights to executive stakeholders
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently, manage complexity, and deliver results under tight timelines
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or advanced analytics, with a strong focus on delivering production-grade solutions
- Proven experience acting as a senior AI solutionist, translating business needs into scalable, secure, and compliant architectures
- Strong technical expertise in programming languages such as Python and SQL, with the ability to guide engineering and data science teams hands-on when needed
- Deep understanding of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and their application in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, data analysis, and AI-driven decisioning within regulated environments
- Experience with large-scale AI implementations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with big data and distributed computing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Salesforce, Data Lake house concepts) in large-scale enterprise ecosystems
- Familiarity with on-prem-based AI platforms and modern data architectures (e.g., data lakes, semantic layers, orchestration frameworks)
- Proven track record of leading AI-driven transformation initiatives in banking or financial services
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive strategic outcomes
