Senior Technician, Maintenance
About the role

This role oversees and conducts advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to improve equipment reliability and performance of electrical/mechanical systems, including high-speed filling/packaging lines, fermentation, bioreactors, autoclaves, clean utilities, clean room HVAC, power plant/utilities, automation, and freeze dryers.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill work order information in SAP on a timely basis and confirm status.
- Assist in developing detailed individual training programs to increase knowledge of assigned maintenance and operational fields.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and on-the-job trainer for less experienced technicians.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and detailed failure analysis to determine root causes.
- Oversee the completion of the Preventative Maintenance plan on time and in compliance.
- Coordinate the work of outside contractors for basic to advanced projects or to supplement the workforce.
- Contribute to cross-functional equipment improvement teams focusing on performance and reliability.
- Support training of production and maintenance personnel on basic operations and care of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Provide supervisory relief and coverage as needed to support business priorities and critical tasks.
- Respond to all maintenance emergencies and anticipate potential issues, providing effective technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and implement advanced technical corrective actions for equipment performance issues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma + 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Associate’s Degree/Technical Diploma (relevant field of study) + 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree (relevant field of study) + 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of and adherence to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) requirements.
- Advanced-level problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication.
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
- Basic leadership skills.
- Advanced technical coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Intermediate to advanced data analytics skills.
- Able to read and redline blueprints/P&IDs.
- Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
