What you’ll do

  • Perform grinding operations safely and accurately in accordance with standard work and safety protocols.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor grinding equipment to meet quality and production requirements.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish meet specifications.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate routine equipment or process issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Document work, measurements, and issues so others can clearly understand status and handoffs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to improve quality, safety, or efficiency.

Requirements

  • Significant experience, 8-10 years, in grinding operations
  • Proficient operation of production equipment with strong attention to safety and quality
  • Able to monitor processes, recognize abnormalities, and perform basic troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of grinding processes, tooling, and measurement techniques (or demonstrated ability to learn quickly)
  • Accurate interpretation of work instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • A high school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, machining, or technician role preferred
  • Able to follow standard work, safety procedures, and quality requirements consistently
  • Comfortable working on the production floor and performing hands‑on technical work

Nice to Have

  • Experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, and gauges)
  • Exposure to continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environments
