Senior Technician Diffusion Equipment Engineering (Days)

About the role

This role is intended for our Essex Junction site Fab 9, a 200mm semiconductor manufacturing facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment and/or processes in the assigned area, while working in partnership with production team members and area engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and sustain equipment and processes in the assigned area
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets
  • Use mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues
  • Communicate updates on the status of equipment and area to the Lead Tech and/or Engineer
  • Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness
  • Recover equipment from process interruptions, complete event documentation, and effectively communicate end of shift pass downs
  • Prioritize and plan daily work and scheduled activities

Qualifications

  • High School Degree (or equivalent)
  • Electrical or mechanical, 2-year technical degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • 2 years of relevant military experience and 4 years of relevant experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience (automotive repair, BOCES, HVAC, aviation, cable installation, computer routing, telecommunications, electrical work, etc)
  • Education - associate degree in engineering technology, military equivalent, trade equivalent, or equivalent experience
  • Experience – 4+ Years of direct experience working in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills

Schedule

  • Alternating Week Shift Schedules
  • Shift Week 1: D1 (days F) 7:00AM to 7:30PM, Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Shift Week 2: D2 (days G) 7:00AM to 7:30PM, Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
