Senior Technician Data Center Operations Support
Provide operational and technical support
Operate and maintain assigned data center computer systems and associated peripheral equipment.
Maintain performance of online systems through software support tools.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
Communicate with clients and support groups to address issues.
Manage on-call rotations and respond to alerts.
Reassign job priorities based on established protocols.
Support system installation and decommissioning processes.
Interface with vendors and suppliers for equipment replacement or repair.
Manage change and request processes for data center facility changes and maintenance.
Handle data cabling, including network, SAN, KVM, or remote out-of-band management systems.
Provide backup support for break-fix issues and configure devices.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Participation in an on-call roster.
- Availability to travel within a 250-mile radius (when required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IT, technical support, and data center operations.
- Experience with network cable management (copper and fiber optic cabling).
- Facilities planning experience (space, power, and cooling).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are considered a plus.
