In this role, you will provide Cyberspace Operations Support Services (COSS) aligned with the following core disciplines: Cyberspace Operations, Cyberspace Planning, Cyberspace Training and Exercises, Strategy / Policy / Doctrine Development and Campaign, Assessments, Information Technology (IT) / Communications, Business Area Support and Project Management Engagement Activities.
Responsibilities
Writes, in clear and concise language, such technical documents as procedure manuals, service manuals, and related technical publications concerned with installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment. Includes writing such technical documentation as operational specifications, bulletins, articles, and marketing publications.
Acquires or verifies knowledge of subject by interviewing workers engaged in developing new products and services or in making improvements, observing performance of experiments and methods of production, referring to blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings and notes, trade and engineering journals, rewrites of articles, bulletins, manuals, or similar publications.
Requirements
- High School Diploma w/13 years of relevant experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Communications, English, Journalism, or related discipline from an accredited college or university w/10 years of relevant experience is required
- Master’s degree in Technical Communications, Communications, English, Journalism, or related discipline from an accredited college or university w/8 years of relevant experience is required
- Experience utilizing Document Control, Interpreting and Translating Technical Information into plain language prose, utilizing Cyber Authoring Tools, extracting, validating, and citing technical data, and applying relevant documentation standards
- Must possess a current US Security Clearance TS/SCI w/ poly
Skills
- Excellent written communication, editing, spelling, and proofreading skills
- Ability to distill complex technical concepts into user‑friendly language
- Familiarity with cyber‑related terminology and concepts
- Proficiency with authoring and publishing tools
- Knowledge of DoD/IC documentation standards and best practices
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00
