Senior Technical Service Specialist
About the role
Join Novonesis as a Technical Service Specialist in the Bioenergy team. You will work with customers at ethanol plants across the US to learn their processes, understand challenges, and deliver products and services from Novonesis’ wide portfolio. The US ethanol industry is an exciting and dynamic place to work, requiring strong collaboration with ethanol producers and the Novonesis Bioenergy team. This role is based out of a home office in the Midwest to serve the US corn belt.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Service Specialist, you will be a strong logical thinker able to solve complex technical problems and communicate solutions clearly and convincingly. You will need a business understanding of how scientific solutions impact economic factors for Novonesis and customers, and adapt to evolving information and technology in the bioenergy industry.
Requirements
Minimum of a BS degree in a scientific field such as Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and at least 4 years of relevant experience in the Ethanol or Agricultural industry. A solid science background including engineering, data analysis, and fermentation is required. Ideal candidates have process experience in ethanol or corn milling and prior experience in a technical service or technical sales role. Ability to travel approximately 50% is expected; job level may be adjusted for candidates with significantly more experience.
Pay
Expected salary range: $83,000–$155,000.
