About the role

The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) on the Enterprise Contact Center Technology team plays a critical role in delivering complex, multi-year programs that enhance client experiences, operational resilience, and regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Translate enterprise priorities into executable roadmaps, delivery strategies, and measurable outcomes.
  • Guide teams through complex decisions involving scope, sequencing, dependencies, risk management, and value realization while ensuring technology investments remain aligned to business objectives and client needs.
  • Support next-generation platform implementations, enterprise modernization programs, and strategic contact center transformation initiatives.
  • Foster alignment across stakeholders, drive transparency through meaningful delivery insights and metrics, and help teams continuously improve execution practices.
  • Represent critical initiatives in governance forums, communicate risks and recommendations with clarity, and help balance strategic priorities with operational execution.
  • Build collaborative relationships, exercise sound judgment, and lead through influence to advance Schwab’s technology transformation efforts and contribute to our culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading large-scale technology programs across multiple teams, platforms, and business functions from planning through execution and delivery.
  • 7+ years of experience managing complex cross-functional technology initiatives involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and business partners in Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps, program strategies, and measurable outcomes.
  • Prominent success managing program dependencies, delivery risks, competing priorities, and executive-level stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong technical fluency across modern software delivery practices, enterprise platforms, system integrations, and technology architectures.
  • Experience facilitating strategic decision-making and influencing outcomes without direct reporting authority.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex information, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve delivery predictability, execution transparency, and organizational effectiveness through data-driven decision making.
  • Strong skills in program governance, financial stewardship, risk management, and operational readiness.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and align multiple stakeholders around shared objectives.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management, Release Train Engineering, or a related enterprise delivery leadership role.
  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience leading enterprise modernization, cloud transformation, compliance, or technology remediation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting large-scale platform implementations and production readiness activities.
  • Background in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure delivery, or enterprise architecture.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and complex value stream initiatives.
  • PMP, SAFe, Certified Scrum Professional, or equivalent Agile delivery certification(s).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring Program Managers, Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, or delivery leaders.
