About the role
We are seeking a leader in Technical Program Management to join our Compute Platform Software team. This role involves working with engineering and product leaders to plan and execute programs that develop and publish software essential for advancing AI applications across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across product and engineering teams to ensure release readiness and successful delivery of enterprise software
- Manage software branching strategies to ensure smooth integration, version control, and timely delivery of releases
- Audit release-readiness status, anticipate risks, and develop strategies to mitigate risks
- Create and maintain program schedules and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure release health, predictability, and achievements
- Regularly communicate program status and key issues to senior leadership
- Develop and continuously improve release management processes, including scheduling, version control, deployment procedures, and post-release validation
- Collaborate with engineering management to refine workflows, streamline approvals, and drive continuous improvement in software delivery efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of hands-on experience with software program/release management in tech or related fields
- Thorough knowledge of software engineering and life cycle principles
- Strategic thinking and ability to build consensus to make programs successful
- Solution-focused skills and consistent success in implementing systematic solutions
- Experience influencing decisions and leading teams in a dynamic environment
- Enthusiasm, responsiveness, and passion for process improvement
- Excellent communications and technical presentation skills, as well as thoroughness and multitasking ability
Qualifications
- Experience on boards and servers in the datacenter space or with productizing enterprise server systems, coordinating activities between HW/SW organizations
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles and enterprise system architecture
- Practical familiarity with efficiency tools and process automation
- Experience with OSS profiling and vulnerability resolution using tools like Black Duck or Palamida
- Previous experience in QA, providing valuable insight into release validation and quality assurance processes
Benefits
The base salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $322,000 USD, depending on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Eligibility for equity and benefits is also provided.
