We are looking for a dynamic, organized Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join AWS to manage AWS delivery of solutions in support of US Government customers. In this role, your primary responsibility will be supporting the delivery of technical solutions for government contracts. You will provide support and coordination responding to customer inquiries and translating customer requirements into technical requirements. You will also have the opportunity to enhance internal processes, programs and measures to drive growth and efficacy.

You will join a team of senior and principal product managers and TPMs who support our AWS government regions and contracts. The team is responsible for building and executing strategies for a delightful customer experience across multiple regions and driving business results.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work closely with AWS leadership and Service Teams to sequence, report upon, and deliver services and features in government and air-gapped regions.
  • Collaborate and align with a specific set of AWS service teams and deliver mechanisms for services across this specified set of regions.
  • Collaborate with Service Teams to deliver solutions that make efficient use of resources and technologies, identifying dependencies that need to be addressed within these regions.
  • Assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, make difficult trade-off decisions, and balance business needs and technical constraints.
  • Work with external customers and internal AWS Service teams to understand the requirements of our customers from an end-to-end process.
  • Lessen the burden across engineering teams and improve the customer experience.
  • Serve as mentors to stakeholders unfamiliar with the NatSec customer experience and work with customer-facing account teams to align unique requirements with how AWS delivers and operates our services globally.
  • Successfully represent program status to AWS senior leadership.

Basic qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Preferred qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • 5+ years experiences working with Defense and National Security organizations

Skills and background

  • Background working with AWS services and familiarity with their architecture
  • Strong background in program management supporting technical programs
  • Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with Public Sector customers in the Defense or National Security industries
  • Passionate about delivering great customer experiences and researching and developing new delivery methodologies

Pay

USA, VA, Arlington: 148,700.00 - 201,200.00 USD annually
USA, VA, Herndon: 148,700.00 - 201,200.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
