Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise systems.
- Understand the requirement and plan to design efficient data model that fits into client expectation.
- Validate and reconcile models to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and architects to translate requirements into data structures.
- Design and govern enterprise-wide Conceptual, logical and physical data models supporting complex, large-scale data ecosystems.
- Partner with stakeholders to align data architecture with long-term business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
- Architect highly optimized OLAP (star/snowflake schemas) and OLTP models for data warehouses, data lakes, and normalization.
- Collaborate with Data Governance teams to implement data stewardship, master data management (MDM), and data mapping/lineage.
- Design non-relational data models (e.g., Graph databases, JSON structures) to support unstructured and semi-structured data.
- Analyze physical data models and collaborate with ETL/ELT/Program developers to optimize query performance, indexing, and materialized views etc..
- Create and enforce database development standards and best practices.
- Prepare DB design documents, DDL scripts, and maintain metadata repositories.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Support ETL processes, data governance, and security compliance.
- Provide training and consultation to teams on data modeling principles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in SQL/NoSQL and relational/dimensional modeling.
- Hands-on experience with data architecture, performance tuning, and sandbox POCs.
- Familiarity with data visualization, analytics, and machine learning tools.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools and content management systems.
- Knowledge of ETL frameworks, data governance, and compliance standards.
Preferred Certification
Data Modeling Certification (DMC).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in business process modeling and documentation tools.
- Product implementation experience is preferred.
