Senior Technical Fellow – Coatings

What You Will Do

  • Lead resolution of systemic quality and production issues related to coatings (including preparation and finishing processes) across internal and external supply chain sites.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and standardization to achieve best-in-class in coating processes.
  • Own the Coating technology roadmap & Parent/Child PFMEA’s.
  • Develop employee proficiency levels, training and mentorship for the sub-discipline.
  • Contribute to and review the technical specifications for future capital acquisitions.
  • Ensure best practices are captured and shared across producers.
  • Support patent review teams as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering field.
  • 20+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the aviation, turbomachinery and/or gas turbine industries.
  • Excellent communication skills, including 1-on-1, group presentations, and written communications.
  • A U.S. citizen is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under certain programs/contracts.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with manufacturing standards and procedure ownership.
  • Experience in developing and guiding high-performing teams.
  • Experience mentoring high potential candidates.
  • Industry level recognition of expertise.
  • Active security clearance.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD.
