Who You Are

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Extensive project delivery experience successfully managing mega projects consisting of multiple connected projects for transit and/or vertical design and construction as a Program Manager
  • Design/Bid/Build, Design/Build or other alternative delivery experience as a program manager or program director
  • 15 years of relevant experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to engage at an executive level
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent computer skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS Degree (Management)
  • PE License in Illinois
  • PMP Certification

Your Impact

  • Serve in a program director role on mega project delivered via various delivery methods
  • Lead the delivery of multiple connected projects for transit and/or vertical construction, through the design, construction and closeout phases
  • Manage the commercial interest of the client while driving the on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Perform schedule review and analysis
  • Provide solutions to project issues
  • Review and strategize improvement to key operational performance metrics
  • Support and empower staff and direct reports to execute project assignments on time and on budget
  • Develop and maintain Project Management Plans to include Program Controls, Document Control, Design Management, Risk Management, Safety Management, Quality Control, and Environmental Compliance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, agencies, partner firms and sub-consultants, as well as other external stakeholders such as vendors and suppliers
  • Lead staff development which includes mentoring, training, coaching and professional development
  • Accountable for overall management and successful execution of consultant’s contract to ensure performance and profitability
  • Create a learning culture that values innovative subject matter expertise and fosters effective and continual personal development
  • Develop and implement a communication strategy to increase the effectiveness of discipline-related processes, systems, and practices, and mitigating discipline-related risks
  • Serve as program management discipline subject matter expert to a variety of internal / external entities including Federal, State, and Local Agencies, Clients, Subcontractors, industry-related groups, and various government and community entities
  • Manage overall delivery team’s performance and provide inspiring leadership to assigned management and staff
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business and client needs

Compensation

Expected Salary: $182,900 - $347,600
