About the role

This is a consultative, hunter-oriented role for an experienced business development professional who understands technology and enjoys building meaningful relationships with engineering leaders and executive decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, expand industry relationships, represent the company at trade shows and industry events
  • Help clients solve complex technical challenges through USA Firmware's engineering capabilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of business development, technical sales, account management, or engineering services sales experience
  • Demonstrated success generating and closing complex B2B opportunities
  • Proven ability to independently develop new business through networking, prospecting, referrals, partnerships, trade shows, and relationship-building activities
  • Experience managing opportunities with typical engagement values ranging from $100,000 to $500,000+
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences
  • Experience presenting solutions to Engineering Managers, Directors of Engineering, Vice Presidents of Engineering, Product Leaders, CTOs, CEOs, and other decision-makers
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required for customer meetings, conferences, trade shows, and industry events
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience selling embedded systems engineering services, software development services, IoT, connected product, cloud, or digital transformation solutions, engineering consulting services, engineering staff augmentation services, technical background in engineering, computer science, electronics, software development, or a related discipline, experience working with product development organizations, engineering firms, contract manufacturers, or technology consultancies, existing professional network within embedded systems, industrial technology, IoT, manufacturing, energy, government, or related industries, prior engineering experience is highly valued, experience working with Zoho CRM is a plus
