About the role
Leidos is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy. The role involves building next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA).
Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes to identify, define, and document requirements.
- Create test plans and test cases.
- Use Agile methodologies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals, including facilitating meetings and sharing information.
- Write clear, concise, and actionable user stories that accurately capture stakeholder requirements.
- Conduct manual testing.
Requirements
- Proficient in defining system documentation requirements based on input from technical personnel.
- Experience creating test plan, test cases and test execution.
- Strong experience working in an Agile methodology.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI Level 3 Methodologies.
Qualifications
- Master's and 6+ years of experience, Bachelor's and 8+ years of experience or 12+ years in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of creating and maintaining Data Flow Diagrams and developing Use Cases.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Experience with manual testing and have good knowledge of DB, SQL and API testing.
- Communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively; strong and proven problem solving.
- Self-managed with the ability to mentor others.
- Skill in analyzing business processes to identify, define, and document requirements.
- Skill in writing complex SQL queries, joining multiple tables, and performing data transformations.
- Skill in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals, including facilitating meetings and sharing information.
- Skill in writing clear, concise, and actionable user stories that accurately capture stakeholder requirements.
- Ability to identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, or errors and recommend effective solutions.
- Ability to communicate analytical results and technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Knowledge of requirements gathering methodologies and documentation standards.
Skills
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, WebFOCUS).
- Experience working on Federal Govt Contracts.
- Database experience such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SQL and JDBC.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks.
- Previous experience with Social Security Administration.
- Agile certification is desired.

$92,300.00 - $166,850.00
Schedule
Full-time, On-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week.
