Senior Technical Architect

About the role

The ideal candidate will lead the technical development, coordination, and documentation of a significant custom residential project, working directly with the principal.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of construction documents for a high-end custom residence
• Resolve complex architectural and building envelope conditions
• Produce and oversee detailed architectural sections, details, and assemblies
• Maintain design intent while ensuring constructability and code compliance
• Cook up and oversee consultant coordination
• Coordinate closely with structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, and specialty consultants
• Review consultant drawings for consistency and integration
• Identify and resolve conflicts proactively
• Support permitting and plan check responses
• Participate in contractor coordination and construction administration
• Help maintain project momentum within an aggressive schedule

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional architectural experience
• Significant experience with high-end custom residential projects
• Exceptional construction documentation and detailing skills
• Strong understanding of building assemblies, waterproofing, and exterior envelope systems
• Experience coordinating complex consultant teams
• Able to work independently and solve technical challenges with minimal oversight
• Strong communication and organizational skills
