Senior Team Counselor - ACCS

About the role

The Senior Team Counselor provides clinical interventions and peer and family support to facilitate engagement, support functioning, and maximize symptom stabilization and self-management of individuals. They also assist in developing skills, establishing natural supports, and resources for successful community living.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to person-centered assessment and service planning, and advocacy, coordination, and linkage with other services and the community.
• Model and teach skills for development of positive relationships, and negotiation of conflict.
• Assist persons served in understanding, managing, and dispensing medications consistent with MAP and agency policies and procedures.
• Maintain regular daily, monthly, and annual clinical records in keeping with DMH, agency, and division policies and procedures, and within required timelines.

Requirements

• Ability to work as a member of a team and to function independently required.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and three years related experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of mental health recovery principles and practices.
• Experience working with individuals with complex needs.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Full Time, 40 hours
