About the role

Aprio is seeking a Senior Tax Manager, Private Client Services/HNWI to join its progressive, fast-growing tax team. This pivotal role drives strategic growth in the local market with a strong emphasis on business development. The ideal candidate will have deep tax expertise, extensive client-facing experience, and a proven track record in generating new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire new clients in the region
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients, providing tax planning, compliance, and consulting services tailored to their unique needs
  • Stay current on industry trends, tax laws, and regulations to ensure the firm offers cutting-edge tax solutions
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and collaboration within the tax department

Requirements

  • CPA or other relevant credentials required
  • Recent work experience with a public accounting firm
  • 10+ years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting, preferably in the Private Client/HNWI industry
  • Extensive knowledge in individual taxation; partnership and fiduciary experience preferred
  • Proven success in business development
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Master’s degree in taxation preferred

Pay

$125,000 - $227,999 a year
