Senior Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex individual, corporate, partnership, and other business tax engagements from planning through final review.
• Manage tax compliance workflows and ensure accurate, timely preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimize tax liabilities.
• Research and interpret federal, state, and local tax regulations and apply them to complex tax situations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Review tax returns and workpapers to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Support advisory projects and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Collaborate with internal team members to achieve client and firm objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
• Several years of progressive public accounting experience with increasing tax responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in tax planning, tax compliance, and tax preparation.
• Experience with individual, corporate, partnership, and multi-state tax matters.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience leading tax professionals.
• Proficiency with tax and accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, office-based environment.
