About the role

The Senior Tax Manager – Americas will manage calculations of current and deferred taxes for budget, year-end and interim periods for the group entities in the region, prepare and timely submit income tax returns for group entities in the region, manage local tax audits and establish relationships with responsible tax authorities, support international tax planning, cash optimization and other ad-hoc tax projects such as mergers and acquisitions, and lead the tax team members in the region.

Responsibilities

• Manage calculations of current and deferred taxes for budget, year-end and interim periods for the group entities in the region
• Manage preparation and timely submission of income tax returns for group entities in region
• Manage local tax audits and establish relationship with responsible tax authorities
• Support in international tax planning, cash optimization and other ad-hoc tax projects such as mergers and acquisitions
• Business partnering and establishing effective lines of communication with relevant peers and contacts in other functions and regions
• Lead tax team members in the region

Requirements

• 10+ years experience with US and regional tax matters, strong technical skills, including sales, use and property taxes
• Experience with Mexican Maquiladora structures is a plus
• Business understanding and strong business orientation (cross-functional focus, customer centricity, solution-oriented)
• Strong communication and advanced process-management skill
• Ability to work independently
• Motivator & team leading skills

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
