About the role

Under the general supervision of the Tax Administrator I (TA I), the Senior Tax Compliance Representative (STCR) serves in a lead capacity by coordinating and monitoring ongoing work activities related to the Offset Group responsibilities, and provides technical support to the staff. The STCR must have the ability to apply complex applicable laws, regulations, and policies and procedures. The STCR should possess basic knowledge in the use of a personal computer with the Microsoft Software applications (i.e. Word, Access, Excel).

This position is headquartered in Rancho Cordova and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Position located at 10949 Trade Center Dr., 1st and 2nd Floors, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670.

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Current employment in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility
  • Must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s)
  • Must obtain list eligibility by taking and passing the examination if selected for hire (unless already have current list eligibility)

Skills

  • Basic knowledge in the use of a personal computer with Microsoft Software applications (i.e. Word, Access, Excel)

Pay

  • $6,646.00 - $8,324.00
  • New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable

Schedule

  • 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
  • Hybrid work schedule (telework amount at department discretion and subject to change)
