Hybrid work option also available.Base Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 annually, plus up to 20% bonusTravel: Less than 10% for training, meetings, or business-related events About the RoleAs a Senior Tax Associate, you’ll deliver tax services to high-net-worth individuals, including preparing individual, trust, gift, and pass-through-entity income tax returns. You will assist with tax research and contribute to the development of customized financial plans as part of our integrated advisory approach. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented professional eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative team that prioritizes quality, accuracy, and personalized service. This individual reports to the Tax and Financial Planning Manager. Work Location: This is a full-time remote position based in Richmond, VA, with a hybrid work option available. Qualified candidates must reside in Virginia and should be available for approximately 2-3 weekly office visits per year, as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesTax Preparation and ReviewPrepare and review individual, trust, gift, and passthrough-entity income tax returns, estimates, and projectionsReview workpapers, calculations, and return details to resolve discrepancies before submissionResearch and analyze complex or atypical tax issues and share recommendations with tax team and clientsRespond to inquiries from IRS and other taxing authorities on behalf of clients, including assisting with tax auditsMonitor tax law changes impacting high-net-worth individuals and communicate relevant updates to advisors and clientsFinancial PlanningGather, input, and analyze clients’ financial data and circumstances to develop tailored, comprehensive financial plansMaintain effective control procedures over financial-planning-related client service process and daily client activitiesSupport planning around estate and gift tax strategies, generational wealth transfer, Roth conversions, required minimum distributions, and qualified charitable distributionsClient Service and CommunicationBuild long-term client relationships and support business development through excellent servicePromptly communicate with clients regarding tax and financial planning engagements ensuring ongoing supportFollow up with associates and clients to resolve corrections, discrepancies, missing information, and other inquiriesParticipate in client meetings and communicate work statuses and significant changes with appropriate team membersGather, analyze, and input relevant client information into CRM systems and other platformsWorkflow ManagementManage multiple work assignments, team members, and deadlines simultaneouslyProvide ongoing guidance, support, and feedback to junior associates through regular coaching and teachable momentsReview work prepared by associates and provide clear, constructive feedback to ensure accuracy, quality, and professional developmentPerform other related duties and projects as assigned Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in relevant fieldActive CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification At least 3 years of public accounting experienceFlexibility to work extended hours during peak tax periods Preferred QualificationsExperience preparing estate and trust tax returns for high-net-worth individualsProficiency in CCH Axcess Tax, Bloomberg Income Tax Planner, Canopy, or comparable tax platformsProficiency in Envestnet MoneyGuideElite, Holistiplan, or comparable financial planning platformsCERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification Compensation and BenefitsThe expected base salary range for this position is between $80,000 to $100,000 USD annually across all Virginia locations.This reflects the annual base salary range that GGWM reasonably expects to pay for this position based on a number of factors, which may include relevant job knowledge, skill sets, education, experience, and actual work location of the individual selected for this role.
