Senior Tax Associate, Financial Services

About the Role

This role is in the compliance practice, focusing on tax consulting and compliance services. You will assist on large projects, requiring strong technical skills to perform tax research, work with clients on tax matters, and plan and implement special projects. Responsibilities include the compliance function for clients, such as preparation and technical review of corporate and partnership tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships and investment vehicles.
• Analyze financial products, transaction tax implications, and partnership allocations.
• Contribute to tax research, technical memos, and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate work while gaining exposure to complex financial products.
• Participate in engagement planning, workflow management, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s or advanced tax degree preferred).
• CPA certification or progress toward obtaining it.
• 2–4 years of relevant tax experience, preferably within financial services.
• Foundational understanding of partnership taxation and flow-through structures.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Interest in developing expertise around financial products and investment entities.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $72,700.00 - $144,000.00 per year. The wage range considers factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs.

Schedule

This role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates who are not within commuting distance of a Crowe office may be considered for a remote work arrangement, subject to business needs.
