About the role
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Tax Attorney to join our expanding legal team. This position will play a crucial role in providing expert advice on tax-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in tax law, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires a dynamic individual who is capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to providing top-tier legal services to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on tax-related matters for private clients and family offices, with a focus on closely held businesses and their owners, particularly partnerships.
- Handle tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions in the closely held context, including corporate and partnership reorganizations, pre-sale planning, structuring capital investments, and compensation arrangements.
- Advise on tax-advantaged investing, such as qualified opportunity zones, qualified small business stock, tax credit incentives, and partnership profit interests.
- Financially model tax implications of various scenarios.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of relevant tax experience.
- Private client focus, including closely held businesses and their owners, with a heavy emphasis on partnerships.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions tax in the closely held context (e.g., corporate and partnership reorganizations, pre-sale planning, structuring capital investments, and compensation arrangements).
- Experience with tax-advantaged investing (e.g., qualified opportunity zones, qualified small business stock, tax credit incentives, partnership profit interests).
- Ability to financially model tax implications of various scenarios.

Pay
