Senior Tax Analyst, Transfer Pricing

About The Role
Boston Scientific seeks a high performing individual to continue their transfer pricing career at Boston Scientific. This new position will support the Corporate Tax function in developing, monitoring, documenting, and defending BSC’s worldwide transfer pricing strategy. The Senior Analyst, Transfer Pricing will continue to develop their base of transfer pricing and tax knowledge and enhance their leadership skills to support advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze financial reporting and supply chain data, apply transfer pricing policies and methods to assess legal entity profitability.
- Evaluate and compute adjustments to pricing or intercompany charges necessary to achieve arm’s-length results in compliance with US and OECD transfer pricing rules.
- Collaborate with stakeholders such as Corporate Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Local Finance, Regional Tax Managers, and others to ensure pricing and intercompany adjustments are executed appropriately.
- Coordinate preparation and review of intercompany price lists for worldwide subsidiaries.
- Respond to stakeholder requests for maintenance of intercompany prices during the year.
- Contribute to the completion of the annual transfer pricing documentation including US and Local Country Files, Master File, and Country by Country Reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in model accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in the implementation of new company ERP systems to ensure transfer pricing requirements are met.
- Represent the transfer pricing team on cross-functional projects to optimize BSC’s supply chain and/or integrate acquisitions resulting in ERP system changes.
- Provide input and support to the testing process.
- Work with Corporate Tax department members and local country finance and accounting teams to provide support for US and local country audits.
- Develop and maintain relationships within the Corporate Tax department and the broader finance organization to facilitate information gathering and further understanding of company objectives and activities.
- Stay aware of proposed and enacted tax legislation, contribute to technical assessments as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related discipline
- 3+ years of transfer pricing experience in public accounting or U.S. multinational organization
- Working knowledge of 482 Regulations and OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, financial modeling, prioritization, time management and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively as a team member in a dynamic, deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated technology skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Accountancy/Master of Science in Taxation and/or CPA (or progress toward certification)
- 4+ years of transfer pricing experience in public accounting or U.S. multinational organization
- Experience with tax and financial systems such as: CorpTax or OneSource, SAP, Oracle EPM / HFM, Data and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx or similar)
Pay
Minimum Salary: $89,200
Maximum Salary: $169,500
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
