Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior, Tax & Accounting to join our team. The position is a diversified role including a healthy mix of General Accounting and Income Tax Preparation. The candidate will evaluate and record the client's business transactions and the work of any accountant(s) assigned to their workload. The candidate should have a strong understanding of general accounting and must be detail-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This position will have frequent interactions with cross-functional teams within the organization, as well as collaborate with the client and subordinates.

Key Objectives

• Analyze and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, closings, and journal entries.
• Work in all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research.
• Be proficient in the preparation of various tax returns, including, but not limited to: Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate.
• Maintain financial performance against budgets and forecasts and identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with Partners and Managers and assist team with ad-hoc assignments and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required)
• CPA or CPA candidate (Required)
• At least 5+ years of experience in a CPA firm (Required)
• Experience using UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite and Intuit products (Preferred)
• Able to work independently and within a team environment (Required)
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal (Required)
• Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing and managing time effectively (Required)

Pay

The total rewards package at Current includes base salary and benefits. Our salary ranges are competitive within the accounting industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

Schedule

This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.

Location
