Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

Johnson O’Connor is a regional Public Accounting Firm located outside of Boston in Wakefield, MA. We are seeking an Experienced Senior Tax Accountant with 3-5 years of public accounting experience to join our team. The successful candidate will work with a diverse client base, participate in broad-based consulting engagements, and service all aspects of our clients’ business and personal needs from start to finish, becoming a valued advisor to clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and complete corporate and individual tax returns
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Participate in broad-based consulting engagements
• Service all aspects of clients’ business and personal needs
• Commit to exceptional client service
• Learn new professional concepts and techniques

Requirements

• 3-5 years of public accounting experience
• BA/BS in accounting
• CPA completed or in progress is preferred
• Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement software is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently
