About the role

We are seeking a professional who can prepare and review partnership, S-corp, C-corp, individual, trust/estate tax returns. The ideal candidate will communicate with clients as a trusted advisor on tax compliance and planning, mentor and lead entry-level employees, and correspond with taxing authorities as necessary. Additionally, they should perform tax research and stay updated on the latest federal and state tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review partnership, S-corp, C-corp, individual, trust/estate tax returns
• Communicate with clients as a trusted advisor regarding tax compliance and planning
• Mentor and lead entry-level employees
• Correspond with taxing authorities regarding tax notices as needed
• Perform tax research and stay current on latest federal and state tax law changes

Requirements

• CPA license required
• Minimum five years of experience; nonprofit tax return experience is a plus
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client engagements
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Ability to effectively delegate work
• Comfortable with complex returns and high net worth clients
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Attention to detail
