Senior Talent Sourcer, Business Development Leadership (Contract)
About the role
We are looking for a high-caliber Leadership Talent Sourcer who will act as a strategic talent advisor and scout for our leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Talent Identification: Utilize advanced sourcing techniques, market research, and competitive intelligence to map target companies and uncover passive, high-caliber Business Development, Capture Management, and Sales leaders.
- Candidate Engagement: "Sell the sellers." Initiate and develop meaningful relationships with sophisticated growth talent through highly tailored messaging, leveraging a deep understanding of our mission and technology.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain robust pipelines for critical business development roles, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality candidates ready to drive our market capture strategy.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with hiring managers and recruiters to understand specific capture targets, customer profiles (e.g., DoD, federal, commercial), and align sourcing strategies with broader business growth goals.
- Process Improvement: Analyze sourcing metrics, response rates, and market data to refine outreach strategies and optimize talent acquisition workflows for growth roles.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in sourcing or recruiting, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and hiring for Business Development, Capture, Sales, or Account Management roles.
- BD & SG&A Acumen: Deep understanding of the business development lifecycle (e.g., pipeline development, proposal management, capture strategy) and experience engaging top-tier sales and growth talent.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the unique ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with persuasive, relationship-driven candidates.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficient in using data-driven approaches to evaluate sourcing effectiveness, map talent markets, and make informed decisions.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and other modern sourcing tools.
- Collaborative Spirit: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Government BD & DoD Acumen: Deep understanding of the unique complexities of Government Business Development (GovCon).
- Understanding of the federal procurement process, defense acquisition cycles, or military customer demographics is a major plus.
- Tooling Experience: Expertise using Greenhouse, Gem, various AI tools, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Independent & Proactive: Highly self-sufficient with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative in mapping out niche talent pools.
- Resilient & Creative Problem Solver: Demonstrates flexibility in tackling hard-to-fill requisitions, quickly troubleshooting outreach strategies, and devising innovative sourcing solutions on the fly.
- Strong Sense of Ownership: Takes full accountability for pipeline health and stays aligned with the business mission. Actively seeks opportunities to enhance hiring team performance.

Benefits
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. US Hourly Range $50—$65 USD
