About the role
This individual leads the design, development, and implementation of talent processes and programs such as career and leadership development programs, performance management, employee engagement and feedback processes, change management initiatives, and competency development. The role partners with HR to develop and implement organizational solutions that grow the capability of people, foster an engaged work environment, and increase organizational performance. This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based in Northbrook, IL with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Conduct competency validation, profiling, and other needs assessment methods to identify and prioritize organizational needs and gaps
- Build a career mapping process based on departmental and organizational goals
- Conduct talent assessments across the organization and use insights to build targeted development programs
- Lead and project manage organizational change initiatives
- Initiate and maintain the talent review and succession program to align with learning and development offerings that enable organizational performance
- Evaluate and evolve performance management processes with the goal of increasing performance and improving outcomes
- Drive the engagement strategy for the organization by providing insights, analysis, and recommendations based on results
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to implement processes and provide adaptable tools/resources that support talent and organizational development
- Inspire and empower individual contributors, fostering an engaging environment that encourages growth and high performance
- Initiate development, coaching, and mentoring programs across the organization
- Identify opportunities for performance and process improvement through internal diagnosis and system reviews to understand barriers and possible solutions
- Develop appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms to build accountability, measure results, and optimize the impact of talent management programs
- Manage orientation and onboarding process to integrate new associates into the organization
- Research, identify, and provide best practices relevant to current talent and organizational development processes
Requirements
- Demonstrated strategic mindset, effective consulting, and influencing skills
- Service and results-oriented with high attention to detail, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to effectively influence peers and leaders
- Proven ability to collaborate and build trust within complex organizational relationships, teams, and one-on-one
- Flexibility, adaptability, and agility; able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business leaders on business strategy, organizational design, and talent optimization
Qualifications
- 7+ years of related experience, with a strong foundation in organizational development in a talent management or organizational development role
- 3+ years of project and process management experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Human Resources, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Learning/Training & Development, or similar field, or related work experience
Schedule
On-site Monday through Thursday in Northbrook, IL; remote work on Fridays.
