About the role

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the talent acquisition needs for multiple clients of Griffin Resources across various industries and departments. This role involves actively participating in the formulation of effective recruiting strategies, sourcing, identifying, screening, and hiring candidates for various client positions. The Specialist will develop a thorough understanding of client organizations, their industries, work cultures, and environments, and will work closely with client companies as an integral member of their talent acquisition team.

While independently managing the talent acquisition needs of designated clients, the Specialist may also collaborate with and oversee the work of other team members as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides staffing expertise and service to clients, ensuring effective, efficient, and focused selection of top talent.
  • Partners with clients to define candidate profiles required for success and/or update job descriptions for open positions.
  • Manages full-cycle recruitment processes from defining position criteria with business management to selecting and placing candidates appropriately.
  • Creatively and assertively sources applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks.
  • Recruit, screen, and evaluate candidates, providing feedback to hiring managers based on established criteria.
  • Facilitates interview and selection process; partners with hiring manager for final selection and negotiation.
  • Conducts regular follow-up meetings with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and their implementation.
  • Actively develops and maintains external relationships which may provide candidate referrals, including participation in industry events, job fairs, associations, active networking, and cold-calling as necessary.
  • Coaches managers in effective screening, interviewing, and selection techniques.
  • Counsels line managers in final selections, compensation, and the recruitment process in general.
  • Supports and suggests improvements to overall staffing strategies, policies, practices, and standards.
  • Maintains timely communication with hiring managers, candidates, and the HR team.
  • Develops subject matter expertise in assigned business groups.
  • Plays an active role in employer branding initiatives by promoting the client's image as an employer of choice; crafts compelling content for the client's website, social media platforms, and job listings; manages the company’s online presence on various job boards.
  • Provides Career Transition services, offering job search coaching and support to recently laid-off employees to help them effectively navigate their job search and career transition.
  • Participates in the evaluation and optimization of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), ensuring these systems are effectively leveraged to streamline the recruitment process, track candidates, and generate relevant reports.
  • Maintains records of all materials used for recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives, including interview notes and related paperwork, in company and client recruiting systems.
  • Participates in internal recruitment and process management activities as needed.
  • Adheres to all confidentiality with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.
  • Adapts to various duties and tasks as needed, playing a key part in the accomplishment of team and organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of healthcare recruiting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, HRIS and applicant tracking systems, collaboration tools, and online recruitment platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Proficiency with sourcing techniques using social media, resume databases, and professional networks.
  • Excellent communication, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable meeting deadlines and handling confidential information.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Self-driven and able to work well independently.
  • Able to set priorities, plan and organize tasks, and complete tasks on time.
  • Demonstrates problem assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ability to learn new processes and procedures.
  • Extreme attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay

$30-33/hour

Schedule

This position is expected to be part-time in the long term. The typical average is 10-20 hours per week, with fluctuations based on project demand. There is potential for increased hours as project demand grows over time.

Working Conditions

Employees of Griffin Resources operate in a professional office environment. Employees must provide themselves with a designated workspace free from noise and distractions when working remotely. The employee routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and virtual tools such as web cameras and video programs. The employee must be camera-ready during normal working hours. The employee may be required to work in or visit client offices and must be able to transport themselves to various locations.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
