Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner, Commercial
About the Role
The Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner is responsible for developing and executing talent acquisition strategies based on the businesses’ short-term and long-term talent needs across various groups within the Commercial organization. They will identify, implement, and champion innovative ideas within the talent acquisition function and at the enterprise level when applicable. This role reports into the Talent Acquisition Leader, Commercial.
Responsibilities
- Drive the hiring process while executing the recruitment strategy as the primary point of contact for assigned functions.
- Consult managers on talent assessment, selection, and lead the end-to-end candidate life cycle for critical business roles.
- Proactively align key partners (e.g., talent attraction, compensation & benefits, mobility, culture & inclusion, HRBP) to execute in support of achieving hiring goals.
- Identify optimal sourcing channels and consult the business on best practices for talent acquisition while incorporating elements of culture and inclusion.
- Drive Biogen brand awareness to increase attraction of talent by leveraging corporate brand and EVP collateral to market Biogen using multiple modalities (e.g., job postings, social media).
- Create and foster a data-driven and innovative culture to ensure the talent acquisition function evolves with the dynamic talent landscape.
- Collect and analyze data, presenting regularly to business leaders to share insights and influence business outcomes.
- Responsible for service delivery, including direct partnership with outsourced solution providers.
- Participate and/or co-lead special projects, including hiring builds (home office & field sales), continuous improvement initiatives, or change management exercises.
- Actively participate in Culture and Inclusion initiatives, such as Employee Resource Groups programming, to reinforce HR’s commitment to an inclusive, engaging environment.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Six (6) or more years of strategic talent acquisition experience, including agency and/or in-house experience required. Strong preference for life sciences experience in a commercial function and experience with both home office and field sales expansions.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies, techniques, tools, and results (e.g., direct sourcing/cold calling passive candidates, market intelligence gathering, target company/organization mapping, org-charting, pipeline building).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and build support for ideas and initiatives.
- Solid candidate assessment skills; expert in behavioral interviewing techniques.
Pay
The base compensation range for this role is $109,000.00–$145,750.00. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity. Regular employees are eligible to receive both short-term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize future potential based on individual, business unit, and company performance.
