Senior Systems Test Engineer

About the role

A Senior Systems Test Engineer is needed to join our team. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans for complex software systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system testing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and scripts for software systems
• Identify and document defects and issues encountered during testing
• Work closely with development teams to ensure quality assurance standards are met
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact after changes
• Collaborate with other stakeholders including project managers, developers, and end-users

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems testing
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
• Experience with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, etc.
• Experience with database management systems (DBMS)
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Knowledge of security testing practices

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
