Senior Systems Security Engineer (Cyber) - P3 (Onsite)
About the role
Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer (P3) to join their elite Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team. The role involves developing holistic security solutions that leverage Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems.
Responsibilities
- Interact with the customer to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness
- Support compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls
- Consult and assist program management with SSE architecture and issues
- Support the development of bids and proposals
- Support security development and test efforts implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components
- Integrate cybersecurity development activities
Requirements
- You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience
- An active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience in the fields of System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, anti-tamper, cybersecurity, program protection, or embedded security
Qualifications
- Usage of information security toolsets including anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/ NIDS, host-based or endpoint security solutions, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools
- Familiarity with Splunk
- Linux Bash scripting or Python scripting experience
- DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II Compliant Certification (e.g. Security+, CISSP, or equivalent)
- Experience with Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and Experience implementing DoD and Federal IA Certification and Accreditation Processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation

The salary range for this role is $86,800 - $165,200 USD.
