About the Role

MRA is seeking a senior-level IT professional to take full ownership of our technological environment across two locations supporting approximately 120 employees. This is a hands-on, single-owner IT role where you will be responsible for both strategic infrastructure oversight and day-to-day employee support. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading architecture decisions in the morning and assisting a user with device setup in the afternoon. This is a balanced leadership role requiring technical depth, accountability, and service orientation.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Security

  • Firewall and network management (segmentation, policy review, firmware updates)
  • Microsoft 365 & Azure administration
  • Endpoint security (EDR/XDR)
  • Backup & disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Patch management
  • Vendor management and licensing oversight
  • IT documentation and standards development
  • Technology roadmap planning

Daily IT Operations

  • Employee helpdesk support (onsite & remote)
  • New hire onboarding (device provisioning, account setup)
  • Offboarding procedures
  • Laptop/desktop imaging and deployment
  • Mobile device management
  • Troubleshooting hardware/software issues
  • Managing support tickets and prioritization

Environment Overview

  • Two physical locations
  • ~120 employees
  • Hybrid workforce
  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Firewall-based security architecture

Security and uptime are top priorities. No additional internal IT staff currently.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience
  • Experience serving as primary or sole IT resource
  • Strong network & firewall administration experience (Fortinet preferred)
  • Microsoft 365 & Azure administration
  • Backup and disaster recovery management
  • Endpoint security & patching oversight
  • Experience managing IT vendors and licensing
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, and applications
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day support
