Senior Systems Engineer (Product Owner)

About the role

Lockheed Martin has been embedded with the USSTRATCOM Nuclear Mission for 30+ years and has a track record of bringing innovative mission software solutions to this domain. We are seeking engineers to support our USSTRATCOM software teams which create Planning and Command and Control (C2) capabilities as part of the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES) in a DevSecOps environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with an agile team that implements the stories and backlog items you help define based on interactions with the USSTRATCOM mission stakeholders.
• Create modern Web-based, Java mission systems for the Nuclear community.
• Coordinate technical and schedule tradeoffs.
• Experience with software systems built to exacting standards that are delivered on a DevSecOps cadence using Agile Scrum.

Requirements

• Experience eliciting requirements from mission stakeholders.
• Experience presenting designs and plans to mission stakeholders.
• Able to coordinate technical and schedule tradeoffs.
• Agile Scrum experience with work assignment and de-composition.
• Experience in a Software Team Environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

Skills

• Agile experience using Atlassian Tools.
• Usage of MBSE / Modeling Tools (Cameo and SysML preferred).
• USSTRATCOM mission insight (Intel, Planning, or C2).
• Engineering experience with AFNWC SMPES, MPAS, NPES Systems.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.

Schedule

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
