Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a team utilizing expertise in mission/software assurance, system architecture, and interface design. This position supports the development of reliable, secure, and high-quality hardware/software systems while contributing to architectural decisions and designing robust interfaces for seamless integration across Missile Defense System (MDS) platforms.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hardware/software engineering activities, including mission/software assurance, code reviews, static analysis, testing, and engineering reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Provide input to programs on software architectures that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality, security, and performance.
• Ensure hardware/software engineering and assurance processes are acceptable and reports are assessed.
• Provide technical guidance by assessing objective evidence for hardware/software engineering.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Master's degree in a relevant STEM field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Extensive experience in hardware/software engineering processes.
• Extensive experience in hardware/software assurance processes.
• Experience assessing objective evidence for hardware/software engineering.
• Strong professional communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 12 years of related professional experience.
• Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience.
• Knowledge of Agile Engineering Design.
• Knowledge of Digital Engineering principles.
• Knowledge of the Missile Defense System (elements, products, and capabilities).
