Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to manage and support enterprise infrastructure across Microsoft, virtualization, storage, and networking environments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-player mentality. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, Bergen County, NJ, or Fairfield County, CT.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Microsoft infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and SQL Server environments
• Provide hands-on VMware administration and engineering across virtual infrastructure, clusters, hosts, and vCenter
• Support and maintain enterprise storage technologies, including NetApp platforms
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco networking and connectivity issues

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar role in an enterprise-level environment, preferably within Financial Services
• Strong experience with Microsoft Infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, Azure, and SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with VMware administration and engineering, including clusters, hosts, and vCenter
• Experience with enterprise storage technologies, preferably NetApp
• Cisco networking experience with strong connectivity troubleshooting skills
