About the role
The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to plan and execute complex integration and verification test events. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in system integration and testing.
Responsibilities
- Support Testing Efforts: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification in both simulated and real-world environments. Generate technical reports documenting findings through data analysis.
- Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues both real-time and through detailed analysis and debugging.
- Drive Performance: Collaborate across functions, track metrics, and document lessons learned to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.
- Modeling and Analysis: Utilize and create modeling and simulation tools to predict system performance and support verification and validation.
- Collaborate: Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
- Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to Program Management Office (PMO) and System Integration and Test (SI&T) leadership and stakeholders.
- Support On-Site Missions and Test Events: Travel as needed (up to 10%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, or lead range support teams from Andover.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or system testing.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, and/or other programming languages.
- Experience generating technical documentation such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
- Experience in developing and managing requirements, as well as experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent) and configuration control practices.
- Knowledge of radar systems and properties, including Signal Processing, Clutter Rejection, Doppler, Antenna Properties, and Pulse Characteristics.
- Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.
Pay
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
