Senior Systems Administrator
Position Description
The Advanced Capabilities and Systems Group is seeking a senior systems administrator to support our analytical and prototyping teams. The ideal candidate will expand and maintain our computing and network infrastructure, providing IT support as needed.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Provide direct user support on a regular basis
- Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade computers and servers
- Manage Windows Operating Systems and RedHat meeting DISA STIG configurations with security tools such as EvaluateSTIG and STIGViewer
- Configure and STIG network devices such as routers, switches and printers
- Manage networks, file share, virtual infrastructures and SAN/NAS environments
- Document IT Procedures
- Familiarity with using and Implementing Splunk, EPO, ACAS/NESSUS, PDQ Deploy, Backup Exec and other security and patching tools
- Identify vulnerabilities and remediate them to maintain compliance with security policies
- Review and test new hardware and software to make recommendations for purchases
- Work effectively and closely with various security teams
- Troubleshoot software in a complex rapidly changing environment
- Support Windows, Linux, and WSL based platforms, virtual systems, applications, and users
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred) or equivalent experience
- Minimum of six years of experience supporting Windows systems including configuration management, software installation/configuration, and network configuration
- Experience with Windows systems in addition to RedHat competency is highly desired
- Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-level DoD security clearance
- A current active Top Secret clearance is highly desired
- Demonstrated track record to work independently
- A current DoD 8570 level II or higher certification employment preferred (Security+, SSCP, CISSP, etc)
Hiring Range
$114,500 - $151,900
